Well done to Kian who has been joining every zoom lesson with Miss Harris, as well as do both sets of work. Another big well done to Tayah for joining Mrs Ross' zoom lessons everyday, we are super proud of both of you. Keep up the brilliant work!

Zoom Online Learning

 

From the week beginning Monday 8th June, we will be conducting zoom meetings with the children, to discuss the work. The first session begins on Monday and will be an 'Hello' session, so we can all catch up! To see the separate times for year 1's and 2's go over to the other 2 class pages (Year 2's - 2RTA and Year 1's -  1H) where you will see the timetables for these lessons.

Subject

Topics to be covered in the Spring term are:

English

We will start by recapping on punctuation within our work, handwriting and presentation. We are beginning to write for different purposes through texts such as Cinderella. We will focus on the characters and settings within stories. We will be focusing on using nouns, verbs and adjectives. 

Maths

This term we will be working on place value, partitioning, adding and subtraction. We will now also be looking at the wider areas of Maths such as money and fractions.

Science

This term we are looking at plants.

RE

We are learning about Christianity and being thankful for the world around us.

ICT

We will be using ICT to research about our topic.

PE

This term our topic is gymnastics and games.

History

We will learn about how transport has changed over time, as well as different significant individuals such as Neil Armstrong.

Music

In Music with Miss Bird we will continue to learn songs that are related to our topic.

PSHE

This term the theme is feelings.
