Captain Sir Tom Moore: 30.4.1920 - 2.2.2020

All of Great Britain and the world are very sad at the passing of this inspirational man. To him 'tomorrow will be a good day' and this positivity is a wonderful reminder to us all during these difficult times.

After surviving the horrors of World War 11, Captain Tom became a beacon of light and hope during our country's most terrible pandemic last year with a simple act of fundraising for our NHS that currently stands at nearly £39 million.

What can you find out about Captain Tom? How has he inspired you? How well can you show this? A picture, a poster, a poem, a story? The choice is yours but we would love to hear from you.

*Children's Mental Health Week: 1.2.21

This year's theme is EXPRESS YOURSELF.

In these uncertain times, both children and adults may find it difficult to feel good about themselves. By thinking about how we can share our feelings, thoughts and ideas in creative ways, we can help ourselves feel better.

Have a look on the following Safe You Tube links to see what you might like to try:

The 1 Minute Squiggle Game is a brilliant way to turn a doodle into a lovely piece of art.

Free Children's Yoga is a great way to stretch those muscles if you think you're spending too much time on the sofa!

Origami Dog is another fun and creative activity.

Animated Version of Beautiful Oops by Barney Saltzberg is a lovely clip to watch.

Save Energy Week:25.1.21

Holocaust Memorial Day:27.1.21

Great British Birdwatch:30&31.1.21- CU code for this is blue1778

See if you can find out more information about these events. Perhaps you can create a poster, write a letter, collect some data or take some photos and share your good work with your class teacher either through the class email or on the daily Zoom lessons.
