Head's Welcome Back to School
We welcome back all our children and families to the Autumn Term 2018. We hope you have had an enjoyable summer and are ready for lots of challenges in the year ahead.
In school we have several new faces and we are sure that they will be great additions to our school and ensure that our journey forward continues to be a positive one.
You will hopefully have noticed that we are trying to be eco-friendly by reducing the number of paper copies of information that we send home and that we intend to use Squid and this website to share information. We ask that you support us by downloading the primary site app and keep in touch with the website and Squid as often as possible.
Our primary goal is to raise standards at Pelsall Village and this means supporting every child to reach their potential, particularly in the core subjects. To do this, during the last two years, we have introduced new procedures in school that are now embedded and the children are familiar with. We are therefore excited to see the outcomes for this year's Year 6, next July, and also the progress that is made by all the other year groups. At the same time we will continue to provide activities that show children other ways to learn such as our carousel days. This year we will be introducing some debating topics through a system called 'Votes for Schools' which will involve children finding out and discussing news related subjects.
We hope you will support us by helping your child to complete homework tasks (through It's Learning), listening and supporting their reading and practising basic maths facts.
We look forward to working together again.
