Welcome

Welcome to Pelsall Village School.

Pelsall Village school believes in Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day.  Our school is a fantastic place to be in because we strive to help and support everyone, developing a warm community feeling.  We pride ourselves on our pastoral care but at the same time instill the importance of working as a team by following the high expectations of the school.  We are always busy and enjoy trying out new and exciting activities and ventures. Celebrating success is part of daily life at Pelsall Village and we all enjoy sharing this success at our weekly 'Celebration Assemblies'.

Self-Regulation has a key focus within school.  Children are supported through rewards such as the FAB 5 to learn skills that can help them to make the right choices for themselves rather than always relying on adults. Over time, these skills become stronger and provide a strong foundation for their next journey into Secondary school.

Another important part of our learning ethos is to develop rational, logical and thoughtful minds. This is exemplified in our teaching of Maths which strongly focuses on guiding children to become good 'Mathematicians' - able to solve a problem in the most efficient and effective way rather than relying on only one method of calculation.

Finally, we recognise the huge impact parental support, especially with homework (reading, spelling, maths etc) has on the final outcomes of all children. Whenever possible we provide support through resources or in school workshops.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school direct with any queries you may have.
