DECORATED EASTER EGG COMPETITION
Fri 29 Mar 2019It's That Time of Year Again!
Easter at Pelsall Village School would not be the same without our annual Egg Decorating Competition!
Entries can be brought into school from MONDAY 8th APRIL. Judging will take place on WEDNESDAY 10th APRIL.
As always, prizes will be given for the best entries from each class across the school.
Nursery will be holding their traditional Easter Bonnet Parade around the school on
MONDAY 8th APRIL.

NATIONAL SKIPPING DAY

SHIRE OAK SCIENCE SHOWCASE WINNERS

Well done to everyone who took part in this year's Shire Oak Science Showcase Competition - we definitely have some super scientists in the making at Pelsall Village School!
The following children are to be particularly congratulated for representing our school:
Ethan Hunt (1F), Riley Kirby (4E),
Bethlyn Brotherton (5S)
Riley Kirby was awarded the Y3&4 Runner Up prize and Bethlyn Brotherton was awarded the overall winner prize for Y5&6 out of all the Walsall schools taking part.

THANKYOU!It has been confirmed that through the sale of Red Noses, cakes, wearing pyjamas and other donations, Pelsall Village School raised an amazing £679.84 for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day

Friday 15th March 2019
Posters have gone up around school announcing our theme this year's Comic Relief Fundraising Day.
It is a 'Pyjamas Only' Day with a minimum 50p cash donation - prizes to the funniest!
Children who choose to take part must wear suitable clothing underneath.
Anyone not wanting to wear pyjamas will be asked to come in their school uniform as normal.
NO OTHER NON UNIFORM IS ALLOWED.
We will also be holding a cake sale and any donations will be gratefully received.

They will be on sale from Monday 4th March 2019 for £1.25
All proceeds to Comic Relief.

Yesterday, at Bloxwich Leisure Centre, a team of Year 5 & 6 boys and girls took part in the Walsall Primary Schools Swimming Gala.
We are so very proud of our children as we achieved a very impressive 4th place, only just missing out on 3rd by 2 points!
Congratulations (with lots of merits and chocolate!) go to our superb team:

Kiera Power

Elise-Mae Wood
A special mention has to go to Kiera Power who was a superstar swimmer, taking 1st place in 3 of her 6 races and 2nd in the others.
Also to Leland Hartshorne who completed the most amazing pull back from last to first place in his butterfly leg of the boys medley relay!
Certificates will be given out in Congratulations Assembly on Friday 15th March 2019.
