  • Half Term Head Teacher Comment

    Dear Parents/Carers,

Please click this link to complete our parent survey, the details are below.

I wanted to write at the end of the first term following our return to school in September which for all of us presented new challenges.

Overall, we believe that this term has been extremely positive. Our procedures have been supported and followed by our families and the children have responded very well to the changes that were enforced on us.

A measure of the good start can be seen in our school attendance which, allowing for those told to self-isolate, has consistently been close to 96% with three weeks over 97.5%.

As well as the enforced changes, we have also introduced new learning practices that are based on education research. Our Pre-Learning is one of these and we hope that you are getting involved in this with your child.

At this time of year we traditionally send ‘keep safe’ messages around the darker evenings and bonfires but we also hope that you all stay COVID safe this year and all of our children return on Monday November 2nd. If you are unfortunate to test positive during the holiday, please inform the school through email postbox@pelsallvillage.co.uk as this will mean that your children will be still in isolation when we return.

Finally, we have uploaded a short survey on to our website (Parents – Survey). We would really appreciate your views on aspects linked to the return in September.

    Have a good half term.

We will soon be using The School App to send messages to our parents. This is an app that is connected to our website, you will receive a notification on the app that you have been sent a message. This is free for the school so we will stop using sQuid to send text messages on 23 October, so to ensure you receive all communications please return the authentication form, which is one of the links below, to school by Monday 19 October. Your child was given a paper copy last Friday. Also below is a link to a Parents Guide which explains how to use the app and a parents letter that contains the QR code for The School App.
