WOODLANDS TRUST
Last week the Woodlands Trust visited Pelsall Village School to see how their tree donations from last year were getting on...
We are very proud to announce that the Woodlands Trust team were extremely impressed by our own new woodland, saying it is one of the best in the country that they have seen!
Congratulations Pelsall Village School for creating such a valuable and sustainable legacy for all our futures!
Latest News From PGL
It's been a reasonably quiet night at Boreatton. The only dampener has been the weather - literally!
Fortunately, the weather is currently starting to clear up and the children have been exploring the tunnel trail or taking a leap of faith on the trapeze!
However, planned for this afternoon is the very muddy and wet raft building!
Watch this space for further news!
YEAR 5 ARE OFF TO PGL TODAY!
It's that time again when we send Year 5 off to PGL Boreatton, Shrewsbury on their annual residential activity visit!
It's hard to believe that this time last year we were worried about the children drinking enough water and putting on enough sun cream in the heat!
This year, it's more a case of how will they stay warm and dry in this miserable weather!
At the time of writing this, the children have arrived safely, eaten lunch and started their first activities of quad biking and whizzing down the zip wire!
Hopefully, they will be so shattered and will sleep like logs otherwise it will be Mr Bagley, Mr Britton, Mrs Shepperd and Mrs Sweet who will be bleary eyed on the tunnel trail, trapeze and raft building!
Watch this space for updates & photos of all the children's escapades!
Pelsall Village School's Charity
Themed Carousel Day
Thursday 6th June was a very busy day in school with so many visitors helping us to make our 'charity' themed carousel day as meaningful as possible. Indeed by learning about the fantastic work so many charities do not just around the world but also locally is a very important part of our education.
Our visitors included Friends of Pelsall Common, Hearing Dogs and Jeff Astle Foundation.
Our carousel activities included Bee Conservation, Different Charity Symbols, Healthy Heart, Help for Heroes, WASUP - Plastic Reduction, SEMH - Inside Out film characters, Water Aid.
We were also able to raise £192 for the Alzheimer Society with a special cup cake sale.
Thank you to everyone who helped us learn so much. We look forward to do thins carousel day again!
