Assessment for Progress
Pelsall Village School uses a 1-6 code to assess each lesson. Teachers then look back over the week and enter a code to indicate each child's level of attainment for English and Maths.
The codes are:
1-2 - Working towards end of year expectations
3-4 - Meeting end of year expectations
5-6 - Exceeding end of year expectations
Over each term the progress can then be measured.
Latest EYFS and Key Stage Data for 2023-2025.
At the end of each academic year the performance of children in Reception, Year 2 and Year 6 is measured. Last year the assessment procedures for children in Year 2 and Year 6 changed from that in previous years. This makes data comparison more difficult. Year 1 children also complete a phonic screening test.
