We have a child who has been diagnosed with Strep A, below is some information from Gov.uk

Important Health Notice: Strep A and School Attendance

    Dear Parents and Carers,

Please review the following guidance regarding Group A Strep (Strep A) and scarlet fever to help keep our school community safe and healthy.

    School Attendance Rules

    • When to stay home: If your child is diagnosed with scarlet fever or a Strep A infection, they must not attend school or nursery.
    • When to return: Children can return to school 24 hours after starting their proper antibiotic treatment, as long as they feel well enough.
    • Healthy children: If your child does not have symptoms and feels well, they should continue to attend school as normal.

    Key Symptoms to Watch For

    • A sore throat
    • A high temperature (fever)
    • A headache
    • A fine, pinkish-red body rash that feels rough like sandpaper

    Prevention and Next Steps

    • Seek medical advice: Contact your GP or NHS 111 immediately if you suspect your child has a Strep A infection. Early antibiotic treatment is important.
    • Hand hygiene: Encourage your child to wash their hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
    • Catch it, Bin it, Kill it: Remind children to cover their coughs and sneezes with a tissue, throw the tissue away immediately, and wash their hands.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our pupils safe.

  • Picnic Day Menu - Mon 20 July

    Mon 06 Jul 2026 S Lawton

This year due to a technical issue, we are unable to have the picnic meal option available for all children to order on Scopay.

We are asking all parents/carers of non free school meal children to provide their own picnic lunch.

There is an offer on Scopay for all Free School Meal Children and for all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 to request a school packed lunch.

These requests must be completed by Monday 13 July, this will allow ordering time for the kitchen. Any Free School Meal child that has not requested a school packed lunch after this date must be provided with a picnic lunch from home.
