RENEWING WILDFLOWER AREA AND FAMILY WALK

WILDFLOWERS AND FAMILY WALK

You may have noticed diggers and tractors on our school grounds for last few days.

We have exciting news to share with you as this work is to renew the Family walk (path) in the woodland walk and also to plant a long strip of wildflowers.

The work is being supported by Danielle Jeynes who is one of our parents and we are very grateful for her support and direction.

Danielle has started to upload pictures and information on her BLOG (click to go to link).

This is the first stage of a programme of planned developments that we will be seeking grant funding to support. All of the planned ideas will be shared with parents in due course.

The path and wildflower bank will be completed by the end of the week and hopefully things will start to grow over the Easter holiday. When we return, we would like parents and children to use the walk in the morning before coming into school as part of a daily 'mile' walk. As the summer arrives and the flowers grow this will be a wonderful opportunity to see an abundance of nature that the flowers and trees will draw in.

We will also be removing the small drop at the edge of the playground with a grassed bank.

Thank you for reading and keep an eye out for the changes.
